Yoga and Meditation Retreats
Bring your yoga group to Italy and relax, practice yoga and meditate. There are plenty of areas on the property to to do so. Get off to a good start each morning with your yoga practice and breakfast before we head out to explore the towns and villages such as Cortona, Assisi, Deruta, for pottery, vineyard tour, and Lago Trasimeno. The options are endless. Hiking, biking and walking day tours also available.
Umbria Olive Harvest
The fall is my favorite time of year to spend in Italy. There is so much going on. The numerous festivals and sagras celebrating the harvest of wine, olive oil, and truffles. Slow down and experience the true Italian lifestyle without the hustle and bustle of tourists. I love picking the olives with the group and then afterwards we have an authentic Italian lunch with local wine. We then take the fruits of our labor to the mill to be pressed and processed into “liquid gold”. This tour also includes day trips to other towns and villages as well throughout the week. Truly an unforgettable experience.
Weaving Through Umbria Textile Tour
If you are a weaver and lover of looms you are going to love this tour! The local artisans of this ancient craft will dazzle your minds with their showrooms and looms that are centuries old. You will get to see up close and personal how they use intricate patterns from their ancestors to keep their family traditions living on. This tour includes a day trip to Giuditta Brozzetti’s Museo-Laboratorio di Tessitura a Mano in Perugia located in the 13th-century church of San Francesco delle Donna. An exquisite setting as you feast your eyes on handmade Italian textiles and actually see master weaver Marta Cucchia at work. We will also visit Tessitura Pardi, a grand tradition of Umbrian linens. You can purchase treasures at both, which is the best part of going there! Visits to other towns and villages as well included in this tour for you to experience Italy like a local.
Girlfriend-Get-Away Mix it Up Tour
Let’s mix it up….I came up with the name of this tour to offer a little bit of everything from my other tours. Let’s face it, girls love to shop so I will whisk you away to the clothing outlets of Prada, Gucci, Tom Ford, Channel, Dolce & Gabana to name a few. We will visit of course a vineyard for a wine and olive oil tasting, Cortona for a day “Under The Tuscan Sun”, a spa day for you to relax in the natural bubbling spring waters of Umbria. Massages, facials, pedicures and manicures can be arranged for you as well. Local outdoor markets are always fun because you never know what you might find. If you book on the first weekend of the month I’ll take you to Arezzo where streets are lined with an abundance of antiques and treasures just waiting for you to take home. You will also enjoy a cooking lesson of local Umbrian cuisine. Want to come in the fall, take part in the olive harvest and afterwards we will visit the frantioio, pressing mill, to see how the olive are pressed and turned into “Liquid Gold” This tour has so much to offer.
